Gosport MP's visit to Daedalus
Caroline Dinenage, the MP for Gosport has previously visited the MCA SAR Flight, Britten Norman and PNGC. On Saturday 9 October she took the opportunity to vist the many tenants and businesses in the smaller hangars.
During her visit Caroline visited a number of the aviation hangars, including Paul Groves' Tiger Moth restoration business in Hangar P, the resident aircraft in Hangar R, Phoenix Aviation's Flying School and Club on the North Apron, Atlas Helicopters in Hangar L, John Davies of Hampshire Aeroplane Club at Hangar F as well of course as LFA at Hangar B.
The message she got from all was the same. Everyone wants flying to continue and is frustrated at the continuing uncertainty over the future of the site and the obstacles that are put in their way when they want to invest.
Caroline has called a "Daedalus Summit" meeting on 15 October in an attempt to move the Daedalus Project forward and out of the rut it has got stuck in. We wish her well.
