PNGC Tug Exemption

Following a Royal Navy risk assessment and review by the Airfeld Safety Commitee, as per the updated Airfield Manual (18 May 09) Portsmouth Naval Gliding Centre tug pilots are exempted from the requirement to land after the white cones - these are used as 'land after' and 'apply take-off power after' runway markers during gliding operations.

Please note that the exemption applies tug pilots only. The 'land after' and 'apply take-off power after' the white cones requirement continues as before for all other Lee pilots.
