D-Day 70th Commemoration of Daedalus and Airborne Forces June 1944
"Daedalus D-Day 70th is a community-based international commemoration led by Lee Flying Association bringing together veterans, school-children, volunteers, parachutists, aircraft crews, local hosts, partner and sponsor organisations to mark the last major D-Day anniversary the veterans themselves expect to be able to attend - "The 70th" .
Together we remember those who served at Daedalus and with the Airborne Forces with a Public Memorial Service, Roll of Honour and Memorial Flypast on June 3rd. We will also host and launch from Daedalus Aerodrome (UK) the "Dakotas Over Normandy" cross-channel Memorial Airborne Invasion formation flight of 8 Dakota aircraft to drop 100 parachutists at Carentan, Normandy on June 4th."
